"Eric" (animated character) provides directions, presents the story model, and displays the pages of the book for the child to retell the story. The program comes with a built-in recorder which works well for in-person sessions (child sitting next to you). Using this recorder, the child's story is recorded and the audio file is downloaded onto your computer. If you are working virtually, you will need to use an alternate recorder, e.g., your phone, recorder built into Zoom. Use SALT software (purchased separately) to compare this sample with age and grade-matched samples selected from the Narrative Story Retell database.
